Periodontal probes

A full periodontal examination is performed using a calibrated periodontal probe, such as the 15 mm University of North Carolina (UNC) probe (see figure: UNC 15 calibrated periodontal probe). The WHO BPE probe is not suitable for recording measurements in a full periodontal examination.
